Can I take a group on the public ferry?

We welcome groups!

However, on our public, timetabled ferry service you can not pre-book

On busy days and during high season we recommend that parties (of up to 50 people) should be prepared to break into smaller groups in order to travel.

For groups of over 50 people or for any group that wishes to travel together we offer a range of PRIVATE TRIPS that may suit your needs better.
NB: If you plan to do this and know which departures you intend to use please call and inform us; so that we can prime the crew to be ready and waiting for you!
What facilities do you have on-board?

Facilities onboard our boats vary considerably; from
modern boats that are both heated and
covered with full
flushing toilets, through to more traditional wooden open boats with no heating, limited cover and no toilet facilities. -
We will always endeavour to provide all ferry routes with the best available boat; taking into account demand and weather conditions etc.

However, logistics dictate the boat (and therefore the
facilities) available at any one time.
