PUBLIC TRIP

WATERSIDE WILDLIFE WITH ED DREWITT

We are delighted to again have the expert wildlife presenter Ed Drewitt leading this spectacular cruise down the magnificent Avon Gorge.

We take you down the harbour, past the SS Great Britain, into the lock and out into the River Avon. We travel under Brunels magnificent Clifton suspension bridge and down the river towards Avonmouth.

There will be opportunities to see lots of wildlife, birds, foxes and even deer. Birds may include peregrine falcons, redshanks, herons and buzzards. As we travel out under the motorway bridge and towards the estuary there will be oyster catchers and schelducks and other wading birds.

The gorge is lined with a mixture of ancient woodland and pasture with and abundance of flora and fauna, the cliffs being home to a host of unique plants.
